Hi All,
I am trying to process some returns and am trying to figure out the most efficient way to mail out flat pre-paid boxes to different addresses.
I am surprised that Purolator/Canada Post etc doesn't seem to offer this service.
Does anyone here have any ideas outside of going to the post office and slapping on a bunch of labels. I really have zero desire to go into a store right now.

Really, if there's a bunch of boxes, it's about as easy to use your own and drop them off in person at the post office.
Or go in and buy the boxes, and go back to send them?
FedEx has some flat rate options, like thier 10 kg box.

Not the cheapest way, but if you setup shipment online with UPS, at the last step there is an option to create a return label and it's a bit cheaper than the out-going shipment.
For example, when we ship a box to US, it would cost $16 for UPS Standard, but the return label would be $9 (if the receiver uses it). I'm sure FedEx has this feature too but we use mostly UPS.
With any of the courier companies you could set up an account and they'll pick up from your front step without talking to you. That's probably lowest "contact" method.
The Canada Post pre-paid boxes have worked really well for me in the past. You do have to go down to the store and get them, package things up and return it. They then scan the box and give you a receipt. I wish you could add more to the insurance but hasn't be an option they could figure out.
The CP box service is Expedited and $100 insurance. For most things honestly they're cheaper than bringing in your own packaging for the same service. IIRC the weight limit is 10Kg which is sufficient for most.
Are you trying to do like amazon return? If so not much you can do.
If you are just trying to mail some packages you could sign up at chitchats. Enter all the info and then print labels at home and slap it on your own non-flate rate boxes. Then drop it off at their store. They are doing no-contact in the store, there's just a bit up front when you walk in and leave it there. Generally their prices are better. I know when I looked it was cheaper for me to buy labels through them than use a flatrate box.
It still ships CanadaPost, they just hand them off

I should clarify a bit here. Essentially we are trying to get some loaned products back to us. Things like laptops, docking stations etc. I would have done the "we print a label" and they pack it in their own box but unfortunately most people don't have boxes just hanging around the house.
I was hoping that I could get Fedex/Purolator to send prepaid boxes (ie. Box within a box) to houses with the shipping label already attatched.
Seems like there are no real good options out there.
How much can your work pay "delivery drivers"?!
