From the reviews I have read it looks like the EGOPOWERPLUS is constantly getting high ratings.
Thinking of getting this one,

Anyone has any feed back on this one?
Also any feed back on STIHL electric ones?

IMO they are cheap for a reason. I have no issue with them breaking down , just want one which is going to get the job done.
...
My napkin math shows about a 9 year payout on those versus just paying someone to come do it. Would that thing even last 9 years? Is your cellphone or TV even 5 years old? Doubt it.
It does look like the ego mowers are now $100 less at HD

Had been looking last year but decided gas would probably be best as that is buying into another battery ecosystem. Kind of just want a gas honda though.
My last mower lasted 20 years. May be $30 in parts and oil and $10 gas per year. So my cost not counting my time would be $30/year.
If i maintain my battery well, I expect to get 5 years out of it because I consider a new battery. And any wore down battery will just become hand me down tools like weed wacker/blower. That's why you want to maximize # of tools that share the same battery format.
But you are right, even if I count electric cost nothing, I need the battery to last me 15 years to off set the cost of gasoline.
I run everything ego, and they are all excellent tools.
the Ego snowblower is the best money I've maybe ever spent.
