If the cops came right away i would have never blocked the car. After i called i sat there waiting for Dim_Sum. Once he came i told him to call it in aswell maybe speed the cops up. He was on hold for 30 minutes.

I went this morning with the bf down to the guys house to see what was going on. I gotta say I was extremely disapointed because we missed it by MAYBE 15 minutes.

I have laughed over 100 times today because of this thread.




As for the interview.

Do they not know that DJ_Stylz called when he got there..and they didnt show up? WTF was he suppose to do. Leave? Yeah okay.

On the news it said theres a cop for every 600 people in calgary or something. Okay we get it. You guys have other stuff to do. But why is it every time I'm driving somewhere I ALWAYS see cops just driving around..doing nothing. You can't tell me this morning EVERY cop in calgary was busy. Screw right off. It makes me want to kick them all in the shins. I understand there 'fighting' for us and trying to make our society a better place but when people come together and find someones car BY THEMSELVES WITH NO COPS HELPING dont tell them to "be safe and call the cops".

the police were "concerned" about your actions, then ctv put up the picture of your car blocking the skyline

Internet users help catch car thief

Police are investigating after members of an internet chat room helped to track down a stolen car.

The rare vehicle was stolen on Wednesday from a lot in southeast Calgary.
Someone took the vehicle for a test drive and never came back.

The owner of the car immediately put out pictures and an appeal for help on beyond.ca, a website for car enthusiasts.
Almost immediately tips and sightings started to roll in including one person who took a picture of the car at Chinook mall.

Friday morning, two of the website’s users spotted the car outside a residence in the southeast and called police.

Police have made an arrest and a suspect was taken into custody.
So far, no names or charges have been released

I can understand that CPS does not want vigilante justice and it may be dangerous for people like Dj when he boxed the car in but realistically had the CPS done their job this guy would have been caught earlier.

I absolutely believe that without beyond's help the car would not have been recovered yet as it was not parked at a donut shop.

Again guys great job at staying safe and catching the guy! I think as long as people help in an intelligent manner and don't put their own security at risk Beyond.ca is an incredibly powerful tool to help recover cars like these.
