Default The Cove - Dolphins man!!

I just finished watching a documentary "The Cove" and feel the need to spread the word about it...

Humankind is doomed one way or another, but this shit is fucked up!

I hope people that have seen this movie chime in and help me explain how sad this shit is, and how if we all keep neglecting this type of action, then the planet is going to be a crazy place in the future, where everybody just keeps getting rapped.

Saw it lastnight and it's pretty fucked up.
Dolphin meat has a lot of mercury, what's more fucked is that innocent little children are eating it in school.

I saw a download link for it a few weeks ago, but didn't think I could stand to watch it (after reading the synopsis).

Just finished watching this and it has completely opened my eyes to how cruel the fisherman of Taijin, Japan are to these "cetaceans".

This movie just throws up a big WTF throughout the whole film. Just wish there was more we could do, but as you can already tell from the film, there's nothing we can do.

The Japanese government is buying votes from other nations, and continue to do whatever they want. It's really sad - but there's just aren't that many people willing to stand up for what's right anymore (compared to the 60s/70s).

The last time I remember a somewhat big environmental movement was when Free Willy came out and MJ wrote "Heal The World".

I'll be showing this film to all my friends and family for sure...

I can't usually sit through an entire documentary but this was exceptional. I thought it was amazing.
I think everyone should watch it, so here is the torrent:

Just saw this a couple of days ago.
Watching the footage from the secret cameras was extremely brutal, but this documentary needs to be seen by everyone.

I also saw Sharkwater today while getting ready for work and I could not believe how fast the shark population is decreasing.

Both documentaries were extremely well done, and are bound to change your life in one way or another after watching them.

    Sharkwater:

its a disgrace to see that our oceans have become the place to dump our waste and destroy anything that lives in it. I can barely sit through sharkwater because i get so mad watching it.

Is this just a 'PETA' angle type film, or will killing dolphins/whales actually disturb the oceans eco system/balance?

From what i've gathered watching both movies, neither one of them is PETA related in any way.

The Cove is lead by Rick O'Barry, the guy that started the whole flipper TV series. Its because of him that dolphins are kept in captivity all over the world, and for the last few years (not sure how many) he has been fighting to release dolphins. You can get a good background info on his work by watching the Cove.

The killings of sharks is what really disturbs the oceans eco system/balance. Its all really well explained in shark water, and how sharks control the plankton in the oceans that control the air we breathe on land (thats just the short version of it).

I highly suggest everyone watching these two documentaries, its quite brutal but people need to open their eyes and realize just what exactly is happening to our oceans.
