Without +1's, it's easier for me to book a table!
FAAACK 6 or 845.
I picked 6PM for 6.

The asshole that parked a car2go with 10min left of "no stopping" in front was NOT me... i swear
Successful meet, folks. Good food over good wine. Can't go wrong with that.
Next month is Model Milk.

Ooh model milk... Hopefully you don't book it during a Flames game this time haha
Food overall was quite good, nice presentation. Wine selection from Sommelier Cos was solid...and not dry
We had the beef tartar and calamari for appetizers. Beef tartar was very good (nice suggestion guys) - really found the capers complemented the beef well and chips that it was served with were crunchy, fairly light because they were not solid chips and not greasy. Moreover the beef was of good quality and had that "melting" factor when in your mouth.
The grilled calamari was a surprise, really liked this dish. So many flavours it was hard for me to pick a specific one that made the dish so delicious but overall just tasted very fresh! Then again, you can never go wrong with crème fraîche can you? *insert South Park episode.* I would say that it's the best I've had in town especially since La Brezza started to deep fry their's for some asinine reason. I'll go back for this dish alone.
I had halibut for my entrée and this is where I was not impressed at all. The halibut was overcooked and oversalted. Add to that the tabbouleh was incredibly(!) grainy tasting and it led to a mediocore $31 entrée.
Again, overall very pleased with The Living Room, service was top-notch and those appetizers were fantastic. Perhaps next time I'll have to try something else for an entrée or skip right to a dessert since I didn't make it there this time.

^ If I had an entrée like yours, then I wouldn't go back.
The appetizers reel you in while the entrée should hold you down.
I ordered the venison chops and they were delightful. Cooked rare and accompanied with fancy version of tater tots.
The calamari for me, was the goodie. It was citric, fresh which matched the grilling cooking style to a tee.
It's like summer never left. I'd go back but order something else.
Short ribs were good, only change i would of made would be to hit them with a little flame at some point in the cooking process... needed that extra dimension of texture and flavor profile. but they were super tender, sauce was nice, although a little thin. Was more like a stew than what could of been a nice glaze. Carrots freaked me out a bit
BUMP for November.
