CRT Fans?

I work on big visual systems (200 wide x 40 degrees) and we upgraded from CRT a couple years ago. I really miss the black levels of the CRT when night actually looked night! Motion blur is also noticeable on the new system which is annoying.

Big advantage is new ones are so much higher res and brighter and need way less maintenance. We were changing CRTs every 7000 hours or so due to burn in.

Sold my old Samsung Syncmaster 700p to a kijiji buyer for 5 bucks. I'm happy as it's out of my house, he's happy as it's perfect for his retro gaming group. Win win.

Even more win, I stopped at an estate sale and bought about $60 worth of woodworking hand tools for the $5 I got for the monitor.

I used to game on an old ViewSonic 19" flatscreen CRT (FLAT screen!!!)

Thing weighed a ton, and I had to degauss it about every 30-45 minutes. But was it ever a clear image for back then.
