Probably cause the rad is 90 degrees to the grillOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
I am going to say it most certainly will, they do not have the most robust cooling systems and the ones I have observed seem prone to overheating
The air duct feeding the radiator is not blocked, but we'll see. I'll add air holes to distribute circulation but lessen the exposure to water.
Do you live at the gas station? or is jerry a permanent installation in your trunk?Originally posted by flipstah
18L tank
The SPi mini has a radiator that's 90* to the front, and located beside the wheel fender. It has a fan that runs off the water pump of the engine, but it has a second electrical fan on the far side of the rad that turns on when the heat is high enough. I've never seen cooling issues with this push/pull setup.Originally posted by Sugarphreak

Do you know who it was? Now that mine's rebuilt, I plan on coming back out. Dat SM life though.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Interesting, I thought this was one of the big issues they had
There was actually a Mini out at the last event in Red Deer and he was having major overheating issues as soon as it warmed up even with an aftermarket electric fan setup

I always gas up at the half way mark so no fuck ups. AMA Gold is also permanent fixture for the 928 and the Mini.Originally posted by jwslam

Does that mean I can come too, and show people Asian driving?Originally posted by LilDrunkenSmurf

You mean you'll actually AutoX instead of spending 2 years posting on CSCC about doing it?

It is a carbureted engine though, I don't know how much different they are from the EFI models.
The carb'd ones don't have a second fan IIRC.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
It was an older fellow named Dan, I don't know if you met him, but he came out to FM with that hot-rod a few times

Funny about overheating, we had an Austin Mini as our family car when we first came to Canada, and all I remember from our roadtrips to Vancouver was that after every hill we had to stop for 1/2 an hour because of overheating. Took us like 16 hours to get to Van from Calgary lol.Originally posted by Sugarphreak

Saw you cruising around Macleod south yesterday. I was the silver accord that let you in when you wanted to be on the right so bad when construction pushed everyone left lol

It's a habit I'm picking up so I'm not blocking the passing lane! Thanks!Originally posted by riander5

I don't know why I find it so amusing that a car designed for a country with an exorbitant amount of rain, has electrical problems everytime it rains...Originally posted by flipstah

Well, it just could just be a busted bulb. It is 21 years old.
