What kind of birdhouse can you build with popsicles, roofies, and a rubber mallet?

I really enjoyed that. This is going to be the first series in a LOOONNNGG time I'm actually going to follow.

Shame they had to play the recycled man-wakes-up-from-coma hand....

I enjoyed it and can't wait till the next episode, although it was pretty predictable, maybe I've watched too many zombie movies

Watched the premier tonight. Loved it! Looks pretty good. Only shitty part is that I hate waiting a week until I can watch the next episode, that's why prefer to wait till the season is finished and download the series. Don't know if I can do that with this one though.

Had seen the premiere last night - great opening and good plot as expected in the first volume (of graphic novel series).
This episode fill up the in-between and add extra scenes as the story plot unfold.

Looking forward for the second episode next Sunday!

My only pet peeve is that AMC should let go of the censored words in the dialogue. It's bit of an annoyance. Guess I'll wait until they release the series in DVD set to buy the uncensored edition.

But I'll continue watching every Sunday - I don't have patience to wait months for a DVD set to come LOL!

Awesome show. Great idea to have it premiere on Halloween haha. I watched it twice last night since it was looping on AMC all night.

    Gonna follow this one.

ok... that WAS his wife. She looked similar to the picture, but different enough I was not 100% certain. Yeah - he better be taking a step back on that hunny.

Maybe they were having an affair beforehand? Add a little drama to the series...

The former is better for story telling, the latter better for fast paced action thriller movies.

Anyone catch Dead Set as well? British short series from a couple of years ago. Only 3 hours total time, but decent. It's based on the cast of "Big Brother" being the only survivors.
I was always curious to hear everyone elses opinions on the new vs. old zombies, so good discussion. Personally I think it's more terrifying with slow zombies, that they just kill you in masses, or complete and utter surprise. The fact you can run through them but if theres enough then you're shit out of luck and thats scary. I just don't find zombie olympic athlete runners that scary. Last time I checked they were dead, and so their muscles and limbs have seized up and stiffened, so how they're able to run like Usain Bolt is beyond me. The ending to Day of the dead scared me more then the ending to dawn of the dead (new).

I've always attributed the fast running to the fact the zombies would not feel pain. As such, they can use their muscles to the fullest degree. Look at the one upper-body woman on the grass, and she was moving real slow because of the decomposition.

But at the end of the day, don't lose sight of the fact this show and these movies are about ZOMBIES. Something that doesn't exist. To try to put too much realism against it kinda defeats the purpose.

The fact is, if a zombie has to move slow that means they won't likely have the power to overwhelm you even if they catch you somehow. As such, the "strong" or quicker zombies seem to make more sense from a danger perspective...
