People do buy wagons. My insurance (state farm) classifies Acura MDX and RDX as wagons.

I do get great service there, especially when I mention my name, haha.
Had I been able to find a good condition GM G body Malibu I would have bought one after selling my two door Malibu.
I will say however that I am in love with my current HHR wagon. So much utility then a coupe!

I'd rather have a crossover unibody SUV over a wagon any day of the week.
Canadians love wagons, but they states dictate what cars we get. Don't get mad at the manufacturers. Get mad at the US.
The Matrix is dead now (not a huge deal but notable) Probably wont see the Corolla wagon at all. But you see TONS of new Rav4's. Meaning most canadians share my taste as well.
I know a lot of guys on here don't do the old american muscle but...

Every young couple in my building on my floor has a wagon of some sort. Subaru XV, two WRXs, one Mazdaspeed 3, and my Matrix. Practical enough for most, car like handling, not as expensive. I've been moving a ton of stuff in it these last few weeks. For normal people (non Beyond baller) a Mazda 3 or Impreza wagon would last time a good while till some twins pop out.
I love wagons, have 2. Would probably order a '14 mazda 6 if they sold them in North America.

when people hear wagon, they think of
And women prefer the higher seating position of the SUV, so they can see over other cars and feel safer

I just sold my 135i for an Audi avant, and I couldn't be happier!
I love the styling.

The criteria for being a Beyond Baller is simply knowing you are one.

Maybe a better OP subject should have read: Why do people have kids and not baller wagons?Originally posted by diamondedge

There aren't many baller wagons.
CTS, E class, A6 (do they still bring these in?)
The F10 isn't brought in.
I'd be all over an RS4 or C63 wagon if we could get them here.

We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.

Is this a new thing with Mazda? I've had a few, and mine all had decent enough paint jobs for a cheaper car, and never had any rust issues. On the other hand, I have heard this about Subaru, so in a comparison I would have to say the complete opposite.
I miss my 2006 Jetta TDI Wagon. After putting a stage 2 into it, that thing just rocked. I still regret selling it to this day. It was just awesome all around, even for a diesel. Now, granted, our Mazda 3 sport is just as fun to drive, and is better on fuel, and I can still get the kid and the dog into it with a car seat... I guess we made a good choice.
I have to admit, it's nice to be able to drive to radium and back on a half tank fully loaded. The Jetta wasn't even quite that good.
Our Mazda is a year old now. No rust at all. Not a spot anywhere. Not sure where you're getting that from.
The first few years of the Mazda 3 had rusting problems (maybe 2003 till 2007-ish), and a rust prevention recall a couple years ago. Not a huge issue in the Alberta climate, but well documented in Ontario and other places that love their salt. Mine's an '06 and people still comment how it looks like new.
