My first class was a hunter, and seemed pretty badass. leveling up a Mage now.

Only played Warlock in the beta. I tried Hunter in Alpha. Think I prefer the Warlock. Haven't tried Titan.

Would have been nice if this was 60fps. I went back to playing Titanfall earlier and almost threw up due to the increase in fps lol.
The beta was an excellent experience, and I can't wait for full release. However, those looking for a loot grind in this game will definitely find one. End game looks like it'll works something like this:
So, in nutshell this is how it'll work: Level hard cap is 20. You reach higher 'levels' by acquiring the "light" stat on your gear. Kinda like I was mentioning the other day, akin to something like hit rating in WoW. You can raise your 'effective' level to 24, 26, 28, 31 etc.
Looks like the first raid will have something like 3 difficulties. Level 24, 28 and 31 or something to that effect.
So basically you need to farm gear that get's your character up to around the lvl 24 mark, then you work through the first raid. Progress your gear further to 28, do the next level difficulty, and so on and so forth.
Looks like there will be random strikes of higher levels too called "Nightfalls" that function in a similar fashion. I don't know about you, but I'm very excited for this. It gives me an actual reason to go diablo 2 style loot grinding (I use this term relatively loosely). That's what I ended up doing in the beta, but now there will be an actual reason to! Haha.
Also, did anyone ever find any gear with intellect on it in the beta? I didn't see a single piece, yet I found a ton of it when I played the Alpha. Never heard anything about this during the beta.
Did any of you guys go back to the The Moon to explore "Hellmouth"?
Exploring through Hellmouth was probably the highlight of my beta experience.
^^ no I missed out.. couldn't play during that time. can't wait for release!
Nope xbox live went down to the point I couldn't connect to my party anymore so I got fed up and stopped. Too bad too. Hopefully that's not a sign of things to come on release day.
If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

That was an awesome beta, I was able to hit max level pretty fast just doing the hard missions, and the loot was cool
The pvp was alright, the heavy weapons are a little op as is the titans (?) aoe stun
I also tried the moon mission, didn't get to far but it was fun. Was the gravity different on the moon?
Not sure it's been confirmed anywhere, but I BELIEVE that leveling speed was increased for the Alpha/Beta. Don't quote me on it, though. Having said that, I don't suspect it'll be too much harder to level up through the actual game. Looks like every story mission kinda starts out on about single level progressions, then usually jumps a couple when going to a new planet, however if you go back and play the harder difficulty versions of the previous missions, those should be in your wheelhouse. My plan of attack will probably be play through one area, come back and play through a second time on harder difficulties, then move on.
That is definitely prone to change at launch, though.
Yep, the moon was awesome. Much more interesting than Old Russia.Originally posted by Kg810

Great game! I didn't get to play too much being busy throughout the weekend, but from the amount I played I liked it. I rarely play magic classes for any games, so I'll be switching it up and playing a warlock class once the game releases. I can see this game being a ton of fun to coop with friends.

Damn good beta. Got me feening now until 9/9
Yeah, I am excited for launch. This game is right in my wheel house. I started playing the beta, and could not put it down. I am thinking I may take a vacation day or 2 on launch.
I said it before, and I will say it again. It does have a pretty big WoW feel to me, especially around loot and such.
I have to say, this was the best beta I have every played. Gotta give bungie credit for putting out a pretty polished beta product. I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches. Didn't have any real problems connecting.
I am sure there is going to be an auction house system as well.
GAH! I wish the launch was not so far out!

Very polished beta. Though I get more of the diablo 2 loot feels personally. All semantics, really, I suppose. However, I truly doubt there will be an auction house system. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere before that they have no such intentions. That wouldn't surprise me either, as there is currently no way to trade any loot between people, other than transferring things between your own characters. Wish I could find a source, but I'm fairly certain this is something Bungie has addressed previously.Originally posted by spikerS

As far as the vacation goes, I couldn't agree more. I usually take a staycation in September since we're typically a bit slow at work during that time... So this whole September 9th release date works out perfectly for me! Haha.
