Default More demand to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom condo?

In the rental market, is there more demand to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom condo? FYI, I'm thinking of a low-rise condo complex outside of the core. The 2 bedroom unit would have 1.5-2 bathrooms.

i rent a 1 bedroom here in Edmonton. So far the demand over the last 4 years has been quite strong with minimal vacancies.

Re-sale down the road should be factored in as well no?

Probably get a bit more increase in home value relative to a 1 bedroom.

Always get a 2 bdrm to keep your options open. You can always rent it to one person or a small family.

I think it strongly depends on the clientele you are looking to obtain.

Poor people will want 2 bed/2 bath so they can either sublet or share the rental with someone else.

More well off people or couples will want a 1 bedroom. Since you said lowrise outside the core, that screams lower income to me (typically), so I'd do the 2 bed 2 bath.
