Everything I've read doesn't recommend single light sources for pretty much any plants. Same goes with tomatoes a few LED research papers out there calling for mixed light specifically white, blue along side with red. Not sure why you would just not get a broad spectrum lamp and then not have to worry you don't have the correct light profile.Originally posted by AndyL

You don't want full spectrum, you want red. Red is what's photosynthesized, blue is also kinda used - but to provide directionality not actual photosynthesis.
