Where can I get gold melted down???

I have about 8oz of 18k Jewlery I would like to melt down. I don't want to sell my gold either, I just want to melt down to make new Jewlery.

I have heard that some Jewlery stores that have scrap gold take it
To a gold refinery Place in airdrie and they take out all the other metals in Jewlery and give you back a solid 24k chunk of gold. But I cannot find this goldsmith place.

Does anyone know about this place in airdrie or other places that can melt
My gold down???

If you want to make new jewelry then why would you want to refine it to 24K since that is too soft for most jewelry?

Just take it to someone that does custom gold work and have them melt it down for you as make it into the new stuff.

Let me make the question simpler.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a gold refinery in calgary that will melt my gold down. I can't seem to find anything on google there are many gold refineries in Ontario and bc.
