    Default Hamilton Watches

I thought it would be a good idea to have one mega thread for all things Hamilton. This would be a great spot for us to discuss Hamilton watches and if you have questions post away and I’ll do my best to help. I’ll also post when new models arrive in the store!

First of all, a little history of major milestones for Hamilton:
1892: The Hamilton brand is formed in Lancaster Pennsylvania
1900’s: At the turn of the century, all railroad employees were issued a Hamilton watches
1930’s: Official watch of American airlines, TWA, United and Northwest
1940’s: The beginning of the ‘Khaki’ saga. Hamilton becomes the official watch supplier of the US army
1970: Hamilton launches the PULSAR watch, the world’s first LED digital watch
2003: The production and headquarters of Hamilton watches are moved to Beil in Switzerland where all Hamilton watches are now SWISS MADE
Present: Hamilton is the leading brand for automatic watches ranging from $500-$2500

Being a part of the SWATCH group of companies, Hamilton uses the ultra-reliable ETA and Valjoux movements. The vast majority of Hamilton watches are automatics and almost every watch features scratch resistant sapphire crystal.

For a full history visit: http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/en/spir...story/timeline

For the full collection visit: http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/
The website has a really handy ‘watch finder’ selection where you can specify case size, material, movement etc. and it will show all relevant pieces.

Please email me at [email protected] with any questions or price quotes.
I will be offering beyond.ca exclusive discounts so please feel free to email me with questions.

    Thanks!

    Nice!

I quite like my Hamilton Pilot, especially for the price. Picked it up when I was in Miami earlier this year.

Hamilton's are great timepieces. Here's my vintage one that I'm trying to relinquish. Debating on it now because it's clean and a great conversation piece... But, I have to make room for a Hammy I've been eying on for a while and my collection is too big:

    Hamilton 1940's Endicott Watch
    - Antique but serviced mechanism
    - New vintage lizard strap from West Germany

value for dollar... I find their automatics very good... decent case design with good shock protection, decent grade ETA movements and saphire crystals front and on skeleton back...

IMO built as good as Oris, for quite a bit cheaper...

they have some sexy designs, and I am a fan of the jazzmasters and ventura

honestly... as well built as my tag link for fraction the price

I definitely recommend it! It also has a nice thick leather strap. Looks good in person.

I'm thinking the Jazzmaster may be my next one. I really like this white face one:

Hamiltons have been on my radar for awhile. They have so many great designs and I personally see a lot of value in them, it's just hard choosing that first one. Some of my favorites in no order:

    Pan Europ

    Lord Hamilton

    X-Mach

Pan Europ will likely be the one, but the railroad auto is damn nice too. And that maestro posted above in black is classic! Dammit!

But I love my Hamilton. Anyone who is a watch enthusiast and isnt loaded should own a Hamilton. Depending on my financial situation if I cant afford a 2-5k watch I will be picking up another Hamilton. Very nice auto movements.
This. Nice watches for the price. I wanted a nice automatic watch but didn't want to drop a few grand on one. I ended up with the Khaki field titanium and I absolutely love it. I bought mine online because I found they couldn't match the price I paid locally.

    Default Pan-Europ

For 2012, Hamilton released two “unlimited” versions of the Pan-Europ; a black dial chronograph and a silver dial chronograph.
The Pan-Europ was originally released in 1971 as Hamilton’s first ever automatic chronograph. The re-release stays close to the original design, but with a modern look and a modern movement.
The new Pan-Europ features a 45mm polished and brushed stainless steel case, which houses the Hamilton exclusive H31 movement. Produced by ETA for Hamilton, the Valjoux 7753 based H31 movement boasts a 60 hour power reserve over the 44-48 of the standard 7753.
Like all Hamilton’s, the Pan-Europ offers great value for the money. It’s a beautifully made watch that is true to its heritage at a reasonable price.

    MSRP: $1,910

I didn't realize it was limited edition! Darn. I definitely prefer it to the black/silver combination. Guess I'll have to keep my eye out for one on the forums! Cheers.
