Thank-you so much for this review!

If anyone has any questions, please PM me your info, and i'll call you for an immediate booking and estimate. I really do go all out for my clients (quality and price wise), and I hope I can do more beyonder's houses!

The cab's are sprayed with specialty products, ultra high performance that should last a lifetime. I know someone above was wondering about how long a finish like this lasts.

We take all the doors off site, and they get primed, and then sprayed thoroughly.

Looks really great, but to be honest if you shop around for $11K you could get new custom cabinetry and granite countertops in all bathrooms and Kitchen. You would just have to pay a bit over that to remove existing cabinets/counters which is a pretty simple job.

$5k to $6k for the granite installed? so $5k to repaint your cabinets?

You have a typo there. You substituted the number 3 with the number 1.

nuh, uh... i saw it on a home reno show

but yeah... currently in the middle of a massive reno myself... hoping to keep it under $25k, sitting at $18k right now

list includes... 1100sqft of hardwood, 800sqft of carpet (reusing the current tile int he rest of the house)

new master bathroom (still need vanity and tile)
painting the entire house (prepping suuuucks)
new lighting fixtures for the bedrooms (still need to buy these) including a relocated fan for the master
    all new baseboards and trim
need to do something to the fireplace, its just boring
granite for the bar and kitchen (about 50sqft) that alone was close to $4k direct from the manufactures
put in a new basement egress window (guys didnt even box out the inside, so got to finish that off)
all new sod in the backyard (tomorrows project, not looking forward to it haha)

and... only 13 days left till i want to be on vacation... pretty tempted to hire a guy like Rich at this point so i can still make that happen

Don't know if troll or not. A custom kitchen w/cabinets, paint and granite wouldn't come in less than $15K by itself. OP also did two bathrooms.
Great before and after transition - love the granite choice and paint colours

Yes thank-you, I hate friggin trolls!

A full custom kitchen, cab's for 2 bathrooms, granite for the kitchen, and 2 bathrooms, with backslash would start at 30k.

No way you can get a custom kitchen for $11k lol.

Actually you might, but the doors may not hold its own after one swing.

Well, with that small layout, you can get custom cabinets for $11k, but definitely not including the counter.

That's true. Countertop is the priciest element in a kitchen renovation. Way more than appliances IMO.

Definitely not a troll. The job looks great.
Just stating that in Calgary Demand outstrips Supply so much so that people are willing to pay $11K for counters and Paint.
    I wasn't misquoting either.
    1) Single slab of Quartz or basic Granite is $800 cost, you could find a reputable company around Calgary to do the entire Kitchen and Bathrooms for $3500
    - But looks like the OP used a more expensive granite than just builder grade.

    2) Kitchen Cabinets without soft-close, and base pulls are probably going to cost around $8K Installed. Not Home Depot garbage either, I am specifically talking about Local manufacturers. I know because I have renovated my house with custom maple cabinetry with flat crown, riser and cornice for $13K Installed in Kitchen, 3 bathrooms and an Office. Cabinets were also soft-close doors and drawers, and all of the uppers were to the ceiling.
    - When I shopped around I had a few quotes for just refacing the doors, and they came in at double the quote of a couple of manufacturers in Calgary.

It just helps to do your homework, that is all.

It boils down to size and materials chosen. There would be no way to do my parent's kitchen for $11k, even choosing base materials. For the size, amount of counter space and custom cuts, $35k was a deal.

And Home Depot rips people off on granite. You can get cheaper and better at the independent shops any day of the week.

11k is a ridiculously good price for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen from a professional.

    Work looks good Rich.

What did all the sinks and faucets end up costing? Any other out of pocket expenses on top of the build?

spend more on appliances...lol. Also a bit of an overly generalized statement. you can spend $23k on a fridge if you want.

But I agree with the general consensus that $11k for a kitchen is pretty cheap. We paid pretty close to 7k for granite alone in our old kitchen (had a 9 foot long island, plus about 14 linear feet of counter top).

If you're not picky on appliances, countertop>appliances. You can buy decent ones for $800/appliance.

However, I didn't follow my own advice. I'm a picky SOB.

Maybe a misnomer of Legacy Exteriors as the company name if they also do interior renovations as well?
