Ya agree, its a better buy ultra long-term.

I guess I'm more into short term investing. Even for my RRSP's, I've never held a position longer than 6 months.

Buy a Porsche 356. Fix it up, it will probably net you more money and enjoyment than the 2% you will make at the market.

Where is that dumb shit who told everyone to buy Zargon, and told me that Pembina was a stupid investment. LOL, moron!

    Read back through this post.

    My suggestion PPL.TO

    His ZAR.TO

Do a chart analysis of two years.

    Never listen to the idiots.

What is your process of determining if someone is an idiot?

I could tell you how to earn 900% on margin in about a month - 2 months but you probably wouldn't believe me. And statistically speaking it is low risk.

My first incubator hedge fund is starting up sometime this week, pm me if you want a prospectus. No rush though, trade set ups are few and far between.

It's a bad idea to have too much wealth tied up in one asset class. You shouldn't have more than 60% of your net worth in your home as a general rule.

haha well that's what I'm doing.

I have enough equity where I just have a heloc and all my money goes into there. I'll put some money back into the markets at the next crash, whenever that is.

Max, I have the uncanny ability to time the markets, so just refer to my "what to invest in" or the long term investing threads, Crash occurs within 7 days of me announcing a purchase.

I should really just be paying off my mortgage. making $4.09% without risk is a lot better than losing 35% on the regular.

    ^^

Which is exactly why I'm perfectly OK with just paying down my HELOC. I know where the money is going.

I'm pleased to say my record is a lot better than it was two years ago. I manage to stay on the happy side of zero. Still not a rock star by any means.

Like 89, I'm all about the dividend paying socks. NPI has been a solid winner for me.
