    Default Best vehicle for touring

    Hi Beyonders,

I am toying with the idea leaving my job, selling our home, and taking my young family for a road trip across Canada and the US before starting over again. What would your recommendations be?

    Criteria:
    1) Safe
    2) Spacious
    3) Relatively good on gas (open to electric)
    4) Durable
    5) Self-driving nanny included as a backup
    6) Somewhat fun to drive

Option B might be to take European delivery of a vehicle and do a tour there.

    ^^so much win
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Best vehicle for touring? Why, a 5 series touring of course.

A V-Wagon would be good choice too of course.

Good point, mine came with the built in blower instead. Not as useful for cleaning up cheerios in the back seat.

You sure? Didn't the last 5 get touring models up here?

Damn that new 5 series is cosy inside. Awesome car.

As for the Honda Vans, as the question: What car does BMW's service department use as a service shuttle?

One of those new Volvo V90 wagons. I saw one on a carrier truck and it looked stunning. And it was brown, so obviously an avid Jalop reader taking delivery. Although they don't come with a manual transmission.

The V60 Polestar Edition wagon is another option.
