I worked in a KFC and IMO the chicken is only good if it's 10-20min fresh off the pressurized fryer, otherwise it is ok

Yum Yum chicken is pretty good the one with all green onions on it is good.
Shit is expensive as hell though
Also a good drive to get there, but I love that stuff.Originally posted by GQBalla

Mary Brown's for sure. After I tried it for the first time a couple of years ago, I can't even eat KFC anymore.

It's a far drive. Not sure if it's worth it, but it definitely is delicious.

yum yum bbq in airdrie!
Chicken on the way. Mostly because I like to occasionally pig out on fries and corn fritters and gravy, the fried chicken is just a bonus.
I tried Yum Yum last weekend. It was delicious! Too bad it's such a long drive.
They are planning a second location in NW Calgary soon I hear.Originally posted by bleu

love that stuff on my cheat days

They use peanut oil, which doesn't burn at high temperatures, so the you never get that bitter taste, as you do with KFC, Mary Brown, and everywhere else.
Best chicken in the city IMO. Halal as well for the Moslems that enjoy chicken too.
But yea,. its all about the oil and the care they put into making your meal.
KFC, Mary Browns, Chicken on the way, is all catch and miss depending on the timing, mood of employees, when they changed oil last.. etc.
Fritao, is always the same. Locale is ghetto, but stay in and eat your chicken. Fresh food FTW
Curse you imageshack..

Olive Chicken on 10th ave Korea town.
Definitely try half/half with and without the sweet/hot sauce
Olive/Yum Yum are far from GOOD Korean style chicken.
You guys need to try Bonchon or Mad chick in NYC lol... but in all seriousness, both of those are "mediocre" conventional fried chicken with a Kimchi sauce.
The place that I like, is a ghetto chain called: great canadian pizza & fried chicken on 8th ave by Crack Macs
It seriously is better than Chicken/Churches/KFC by far...
