This will never happen. People will continue to bump their shit every day, post useless crap etc etc.

And they will continue to lose points... hahaha

so where is the problem? Once they bump it 10 times, they can never bump again... problem solved.

Just curious, If someone has an open FS thread and continues to bump it or post useless shit in other peoples FS threads. They would have thier Marketplace privlages taken away right? Now would they still be able to post in thier own thread or not at all? Say for instance someone asked a legit question about what they were selling, which could make or break anyone from buying thier item.

No kidding! How hard is this idea to grasp? Why are you guys so concerned with how much you can push the boundary without getting penalized? There's a very simple solution to this: mind your own fucking business. It's not a new concept. We've been preaching it all along.

Their access to the marketplace would be completely gone. This means that clicking on the marketplace won't even bring up the marketplace forum at all.

I think the points system should just lead to a banning.. why dick around with stupid people. If you're an idiot in the marketplace you're going to be an idiot in the forum. 10 points is quite forgiving so there should be no excuse why anyone should allow themselves to drop that low unless their brain is made out of coleslaw.

Some sellers are sneaking around the rules by bumping and then deleting the previous bump. Maybe this deserves a point deduction.

What if someone asks a question and you (not the seller) answer it, will that affect your rating?

I'll give you a minute to answer that question yourself.

This sounds like its going to be pure gold. I hate all the random posts in FS ads. This is a great change for Beyond! :thumbsup

I know you are looking at cutting down repetitive bumping, so that the front couple of pages in the marketplace aren't the same thing all the time but its still going on a lot.

I'd be more than happy to knock -1% to these people and send a PM telling them the rules

Changes don't happen over night. We have to ease you guys into it, otherwise all your heads will explode. It's bad enough you guys are bitching and moaning about overmoderating when nothing's really change except for the fact your infractions are more obvious to you.

Thing is, everybody is going to ask the same question via PM. It would eliminate all the hassle of writing the PM and awaiting reply if it was answered in the thread itself.

Also, a lot of people have background information about the items. I've seen time and time again where somebody will post something about the history of the item (like if a car was bought from an auction, or if it was in a serious accident, or even how much the person paid for the item originally).

Is that why I can't delete my posts anymore? I had a double post and noticed that I couldn't erase it.

if they get a bunch of pm's asking the same question, maybe they'll update the thread?
