Ya. Maybe it's a bad term to describe it. Basically I was thinking a boys night piss up where people could bring diapers to help out the new parents who are adjusting to 1 income.

I have to go to a diaper party this weekend too. I don't see the issue, have a good time and help a friend out with the cost of diapers. I think your original plan is sufficient.

Apparently it's a thing now? If you don't want to call it a diaper party, it's also called a "Man shower". Look it up.

just because someone calls it a man shower, it doesn't automatically make you a man. I had a kid once almost 8 years ago. my boys just made fun of me and got me hammered.

That's true for most things, if you have to put "man" in front to make it ok, you really should reconsider. See "man bun", "manscaping", "man purse" etc.

First child is a big deal and a large amount of diapers off the get go is a huge help.
I think it is a great idea if one of your friends is having their first kid. Not really sure about 2nd, 3rd etc.

Plus when you have a bunch of guy friends, no harm throwing a party as an excuse to get together, drink some beers, talk about how life is going to change....
