    Default PB to jam/jelly ratio

Okay, it's time for a very serious subject on beyond - namely, what is the ideal PB to jam/jelly ratio on a PB&J sandwich.

I don't think it matters if it's an open or closed faced PB&J sandwich although it might for some people. For me, I lean a little bit more to the jam/jelly side - not a lot, just a bit. Everyone in our family has a bit different idea on the correct ratio but I personally don't like the peanut butter to be on so thick as to be sticking to the roof of my mouth, that is just too much PB..

I love as much PB as I can get. That being said, I prefer an even 50/50 ratio.

The only time I find myself eating PB sandwiches is when I have absolutely nothing else to eat in the house, so I follow the David Choe method of heavy on the PB on mine with honey (I don't think I've had jam in my house for years) until I can find something proper to eat, I call it a placeholder snack

I call PB&J a dessert sandwich. I usually eat them after a day of skiing or a hike or something.

    Slightly more Jam than PB.

1:1. On toast so the PB melts.

Have you tried PB&J from a sandwich maker? So good!

On an asian note: who eats PB&J. It's all about the PB & Condensed Milk. Which is also a 1:1 ratio.

1:1 ratio for sure. Only chunky peanut butter.

Bread is acceptable, but French toast as the peanut butter/jam holder is preferred

    My list, my options.

You'll just have to take your PB&banana sandwich and go pout in the corner.

Slightly more jam than peanut butter... And lately I've been enjoying the Planters peanut butter over Kraft.

Not really. PBJ sandwichs are pretty much a North American thing that took off in WWII cause it was cheap and filling for solders. Lots of places outside of North America have never even heard of such a thing.

Its like PB&J with Banana, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon.

So damn good but people think its disgusting.

Or go to your local grocery store and pickup a tub of Lemon Spread. Its like lemon meringue filling for bread.

Or to even go further go pick up a tub of Cinnamon Spread. That shit is awesome on toasted bread.
