Default France: Chinese man killed holding scissors.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/28/w...nese.html?_r=0

In his own house, answer door, cop kills him for threatening movements with scissors. Causing quite a diplomatic incident at the Chinese embassy/police station there.

West Asians don't usually go Alluhu Akbar without good reason.

BTW: Does make me wonder exactly how jittery French police are. I mean not to exaggerate too much, but a Texan police officer would probably have quite a few loaded shotguns pointed at their foreheads for going onto private property before and even after they have identified themselves as law officers - just sayin...

If a person dies holding scissors, I assume he was running with them? My mom told me that could happen.

He was 56 years old. I understand that the police might think he is a ninja master, but still - little hard to justify.

I would suggest all Chinese in France do what Texans do, just make sure you have a sawed off, finger on the trigger, *before* you open the door.

One article I read on it said he had stabbed a cop with said scissors but the bulletproof vest prevented injury. At that point another cop shot him. The same article had his daughter denying that story though.. Tough to say who to believe. If this was US and the victim was black, prolly the black guy. But it's Paris and a Chinese guy.

That's got my vote for best confrontational technique.

Wonder why the article needed to point out that he was unemployed? Regardless, he's a 56 year old Chinese guy in Paris. I can't see him working at a McDonalds. Well it could be funny though, as it wouldn't be, "you want fries with that?, but rather, "you take fry!"

Because France isn't used to this.
