i'm looking for the best restaurant in Banff. good food, good service, good ambiance. has to have it all.

i've read good reviews of eden and banffshire, which are both in fancy hotels in banff. has anyone on here tried them or anywhere else good?

I tend to like Melissa's Misteak. Its a little more rustic but has nice atmosphere in the evening and the food is good. Its down to earth food. Also, the breakfast there is fantastic.

im a big fan of the grizzly house. if not the grizzly house then another good place is coyote's.

Le Beaujolais. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. It is quite fancy though.

The 6 course surprise dinner ($90) has been amazing the 2 times I have been there.

I really hate the grizzly house. It's overpriced and nothing that special about it. If you go, make sure you save $5 to go eat at mcdicks afterwards, you'll be hungry.

Giorgio's Trattoria.

Great great food. Italian, obviously. They make fresh pasta daily in the kitchen and have some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten.

Right next to Sundance Mall on Banff Ave.

quality usually is. if you enjoy mcdonalds then eat mcdonalds. i really enjoyed the banff springs hotel lunch buffet i took my gf there and we had a really really good time.

I really wouldn't equate the grizzly house and quality... It's definetly unique, but for me, it is one of those things where its worth it to try it once, but after that, there isn't much appeal...

I enjoy good food and don't mind spending on good food, but I really just can't justify the grizzly house, but that's jmho.

cooking on a rock is unique. I give you that... quality wise... okay at best... went there twice and don't think I will be going back again .. definitly on the expensive side but so is everything else in Banff..

I would high recommend the Banff Spring Hotel Buffet :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
