Just got back from a weekend in Vegas, where my buddy Derek was testing and tuning his '06 Shelby clone....

Could not get the power to the ground, but went 8.28 at 188 mph BLOWING the tires off into smoke at the 50 foot mark lol...

I got back today... 20 degrees, was cruising in a Convertible Vette before I left.... Damn I hate winter!

We ran into a torque converter problem, and had to pull the transmission to rectify before we got some decent hits.

Gotta love dropping transmissions at the track, at least the pits are paved. Car is badass, twin 90mm's?

115mm single turbo. He may go to twin 91's

Staging seemed slow. That seemed like an unreasonably long time between the burnout and when they let him go. Would that make a difference?

There were faster guys hooking up, I'm sure this is just a case of a new combination needing some chassis tuning. This is a pretty fast car, and most don't spend alot of time sorting out the car until the thing shows it can make the power consistently.
Seems like the car is going fast, now it just has to be dialed in.
Pretty impressive mph, must be a blast to drive!!!!

Makes some power, but unfortunately, the max size they allow is 115, but in the same class, the allow twin 91's....

Also, looks like he cooked a bearing on the 115. No damage to anything else, not sure if it's an oil supply issue or what.... looking into it.

But a swap to twins looks likely.
