I tried I couldn't get my black shiny

Since the red was really bright and much of the car was the same hue of red I used REPLACE COLOR to change it to black.

1. duplicate layer.

2. Image -> Adjust -> Replace color.

3. I selected the red on the door panel which pretty much selected all of the red on the car. There was a little bit of purplish/red in the shadows of the mirror so I added that to the selection too.

4. Decrease saturation all the way. Decrease lightness until the car is a shiny black.

5. Erase the parts you don't want changed. El done.
