Ok, so the car is just a tad over 5 days old for me.

I've done a couple things here and there... (AUX in on headunit, clean, blah blah)

This is the stock foglight housing:

What I did:

I put a projector INTO the stock housing, very neatly:

On the car:

And the cutoff (with two different halogen bulbs, therefore color difference - looking for a H3 4300K HID set.... soon!)

I know. I need a nice HID kit to stick in there! At least it's not going to be stuffed in a reflector.

Very nice. But please tell me you are going to seal that somehow. That glass is going to get filthy in no time looking at that 3rd picture you posted...

That's what I was thinking - I'm working on designing a gasket at work.

You could seal it with reflective foil tape so you don't have issues with heat melting gaskets etc...

The material I will be using will melt at 400 degrees.. I don't think it'll get THAT hot.

I know the car itself is hot

Nice cutoff. Are those Hella projectors?

Got these off BavAuto. Not too sure of the manufacturer. All I know is they do have a nice cutoff for a 120$ projector.

Dude... you could have saved yourself a lot of work and just bought a proper set of projector fogs from Euro-Dyne for $65 US shipped!!

http://www.euro-dyne.com/product_E39.html

Scroll half way down... and yes, they will fit. E39 M-Tech and E46 M3 use the same fogs.

Duuuuddeee...

Why don't you read and understand what I did? That projector is open to debris and crap.

A proper set? Those are the projectors I put IN the stock housing. This only took me ~15 minutes a side.

Ya, what's the fun in doing it the normal way. As long as you can seal it, you're golden.
