That's too bad, he was funny. In a way, I'm surprised any of the Jackass crew are still alive. Too bad for the passenger.

Cops say "speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident."

when you pull out what looks like inner chassis parts like the pic (http://www.flickr.com/photos/subewl/5853007322/), i dont think there's much else above high speed that can cause that

he did some funny stuff back in the day tho i'll admit, watched lots of CKY that's for sure

any time someone describes a stunt from Jackass to me, I wonder how they think it's funny...

still, RIP...

Some article said somewhere in excess of 180 kmh. Add that to drinking and not a good combo. Bad way to go out for such a funny fellow.

what a jackass. hard to have any sympathy for someone doing something so retarded, I feel bad for the passenger and the only positive note is that he didn't take out any other innocent passengers on the road.

Sucks he died but do not feel bad one bit for him.

I remember Dunn from CKY2K when DiCamillo put shit (peanut butter) on Dunn's lip, that was one of the funniest stunts I have ever seen. Wow, I can't imagine having to sit on a plane for 6 hours knowing your best friend just died.

EDIT - here's the video

Need any more proof that the guy was a fucking loser?

If Bam truely cared and had any shred of decency he'd use his fame and influence on young kids and preach against drinking and driving.

You're an idiot. Have some respect man, the guys family & friends are probably going though hell right now. Pretty sure their not to concerned about sending out messages to kids.

That's pretty good, every other news report is saying the toxicology reports will take 3-4 weeks to come back. Were they driving a Delorean?

Until you know someone killed by a drunk driver. The amount of press this tool has gotten disgusts me.

Ok, lets think about this for a second; how long does it take to get somebody's BAC? Less than a day AFAIK.

Good people make mistakes. And how do you know Bam won't? It's only been a few days, do you expect the guy to just snap make a tour after his best friend died and start talking out against it this soon?

who gives a shit about grief, he has the chance to reach millions of people if he says something RIGHT NOW. he's just gotta be bigger than himself.

I don't know how close of a friend you've lost (and under what circumstances), but when I lost a best friend and if you approached me 12 hours later and expected me to be thinking straight you sure as fuck weren't getting much out of me. To expect him to show up to the crash site and preach about how bad drunk driving is on the spot... cmon...

this is the twitter age, he just has to pick up his phone and punch a 140 character message about how ppl shouldn't drink and drive. 30 seconds. Roger Ebert made a tweet about it and instead of Bam agreeing with him, he told him to fuck off

Yah that part definitely counters the message that needs to be sent. I do hope in time that Bam apologizes for it, and helps send out an appropriate statement to the public.

I am not sure how many people follow Bam on twitter, but I would find these messages lack the emotion required for this subject opposed to a tv statement against it, maybe a commerical.

All I can comment is that the reaction within the first few days of losing a very close friend is not a healthy or positive one. I look back and its tough to remember how I was almost a zombie for a good bit, his reaction on cameras of crying and half finished sentences is typical, those who've been in similar situations know this well.

All we can do is hope that he spins something positive from it
