Does anyone know how to remove the shift knob on a '92 Escort RS2000??

Hey guys, I just bought a '92 Escort RS2000 and I am trying to replace the shift knob. Does anyone have any info/clues on how to remove it? I am stumped! Thanks

twist it. or look for a screw/hex nut holding it in place

How the hell did I miss that car on Kijiji?
For that price I might have picked it up!
AS far as the knob if it's factory it should just be threaded on.

Ya I tried to twist it off, but it does'nt move or it might just be on there good! But it does have the safety release also to shift it in reverse. So maybe that has something too do with it. And for ianmcc response. Lol how did u know it was on kijiji or a price. Haha. But thanks guys.
