Been looking into a new clutch for my D16 and i've found a few different ones. Motor is boosted and I'm looking to get 300 whp and 300 ft/lbs. Anyone have other suggestions?

Can't go wrong with comp. clutch or ACT...

With 300whp on a d-series, you'd be lucky to see over 250wtq...

Check these guys out too... Great feedback on their products and support > I'm going to be running one in my 1JZ vvti > great looking / quality from what i've seen

You've pretty much done all your shopping correctly. I've ran both the ACT HDG6 and comp stage 4 on my old car and they were both great. LSD is good value and I haven't heard a bad word about them although I have no experience with one. The other brand I haven't heard of. Mine was making 275whp and 225ft lbs on tomas dyno. I was running the Comp when I cracked off a 12.80

I'm gonna do some research in them. They are considerably cheaper than some of the others.

Thanks!

lol...Sentry, it is your old car that I bought. Ran into some monster trouble with it 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to take apart the motor and tranny to see what the hell failed.

Killer car you built dude.

I bought a comp stage 4 for my d16. Haven't installed it yet, just got the built motor running quite late this year, tho my power expectations are similar to yours.

I'm also curious about sentrys old car, interested to know what's going on with it. I followed his build closely when researching and hoarding parts for mine.

After I bought the car, the clutch felt all weird. I did some research online and saw that a lot of people had issues with the springs on the CC clutches popping. After watching sentry's 1/4 mile videos, the clutch looked incredible. So, I'm gonna take mine apart and see if any of the springs haven't popped and how the flywheel is doing. I'll having pictures of everything put up when I'm done.

Oh the clutch just felt weird... Uh... Haha.

Top up the clutch reservoir and bleed it at the slave. The fluid probably just got low and some air entered the system. The master cylinder has a small leak that's worse in cold weather when the fluid is less viscous.

If you're referring to its engagement point being really high, I set it that high for quick disengagement when I was drag racing. You can adjust the pushrod at the top of the pedal to make it engage more normally.

hahaha no......It felt like the clutch wasn't engaging properly. Nothing to do with the pedal being too high.

I drained the transmission last night and found a pretty big piece of metal on the drain plug. I'll snap a picture of it tonight.
