Just curious what other ecoboost owners are getting for city and/or highway mileage? Mines been quite low (19-20l/100km) although I do have 35's and a slight lift, it still seems low. I am waiting for a "charge air cooler" from Ford as my truck has minor back firing and Ford says that's also a contributor to my poor mileage.

I guess its a common issue since they can't keep up with orders to have them replaced. Still about 4-6weeks out so hopefully that helps. Also have my edge tuner on economy setting currently.

I am getting those numbers as I have mine set up for the economy, the trade off is, I can't tow the full amount. Because of that, I am going to use a bit more fuel when we go camping and we tow our trailer than someone with higher gearing in their diffs.

I have 130kKM on my 2011 and I average about 16l/100km. I am pretty heavy though with 3 tool boxes, like 800lbs of parts/tools and because its a fully loaded lariat.

The best I have ever gotten was 21MPG. That was with the truck unloaded and just barely touching the accelerator to get up to speed.

I have also noticed that if I am on a highway that I keep it at 100km/hr or under, I get way better mileage then a 110 highway (120-5km/hr).

Just picked up a 2011 EcoBoost last week. Loving it so far, seem to be averaging about 14-16 L/100km but most of the mileage is stop and go around Okotoks.

spikers, how does it do towing a trailer? We're thinking of getting a trailer for this summer and was planning on getting a 24 footer? I've got the factory trailer brake and plan on using that.

My towing with it has been fairly limited. my trailer (25 foot ball to bumper) pulls nicely behind it, but it is a bit more sluggish than I would like. But I have the 3.15 gearing in the back. If you have the factory brake controller in it, you are going to have the 3.73 gearing, so it will be MUCH better acceleration wise.

I haven't attempted towing up any big hills or through the mountains yet. My towing with it is from Alderslyde to Coventry up the QE2.

Towing my 5x10 covered utility trailer is a breeze though. don't even know it is there, even loaded.
