So my girlfriend is going to Uleth and i'm trying to help her with stats but i'm hitting a wall here.
If anyone could help with the following two questions on how to solve them that would be awesome! Not really looking for only the answer but the method or steps on how to solve?
Thanks in advance
1. At a recent halloween party five students and their opposite sex partners were enjoying some halloween spirits. One of them noticed that the males were drinking more than the females, which was correct. If 7 was the mean number of drinks for a male and 5 for females with a standard deviation of 2 drinks for the whole group what was the correlation between gender and the number of drinks consumed.
2. Despite the outrageous salaries in the oil patch the mean salary for an oil and gas worker is $80,000 with a standard deviation of 1000. If one worker appears to earn better than most and only 25% of the other workers make more than him, what is his income?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks again!!
