Anyone know reputable sources for grade 12 math tutors? Looking to get one for my sibling to improve his entrance grades.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

EDIT: Posted to the wrong section, can this please be moved to Campus Chat?

I used Renert for Diploma prep in grade 12. The sessions were packed and they prepared you well. They also offer tutoring if you want to check them out.

Yeah, and that one guy who does diploma preps. But that is somewhat of a final study. It is http://www.diplomaprep.com/

I haven't used a tutor so I can't say.

BUT they did have a free tutoring session at Columbia College on weekends, back in 2012 when I was in grade 11. Don't know if they still offer it.

But if you do wan't some tips:

- Use the precalc 12 book and actually DO all the assigned questions. They help a lot.
- The diploma exam always follows a pattern, so they always test a certain type of questions. (ex, x-amount from transformations, y-amount from radicals and so on....)
- Do previous diplomas. Even the math 30 pure ones are fine, just make sure that you don't do conics and statistics from those. since 30-1 don't have them.
- DO go over probability and know it well, because there will be a checkered pattern question for sure lol. (the ones they give you 2 points and ask for the shortest possible way from point a to b). My teacher rushed over the last unit, probability, since we practically ran out of time.

LEARN TO USE YOUR GRAPHING CALCULATOR!
(sorry about the caps but I really want emphasize this point)

The entire test can be done with just the calculator, it is that simple. That is if you know how to properly use yours.

All the functions etc should be in the back of your head, so you wouldn't waste time figuring out how to use it in the exam.

Know how to draw the unit circle by heart and also the values for the co-ordinates. Just draw the unit circle as soon as you walk in, it is very helpful and will save you time.

That is all I can think up for now, its been almost a year so I may have forgotten some stuff.

I might also have some old diploma exams, that I would have to look for in my backup hdd. If I do find them, I will post them here.

Hope this helps!
