Private Message count

I just deleted all of my private messages and after deleting them (show messages from is set to "the beginning") it still shows a count both in my inbox and outbox and shows 43% of my space used. I have attached a picture to show this. I assume this is left over debris from some variety of forum upgrade in the past?

Empty your "Sent Items" folder.

I did, it still shows 50 and my inbox still shows 122.

I noticed if anyone on your ignore list PMs you, you don't see the message but the count is tallied on your total.

However, with that said I'm also having the same problem. I have 5 messages in my Inbox but the count says 10 even after I cleared out my ignore list.

Interesting theory - I just checked my ignore list and nobody is on it - unfortunately that isn't the issue for me :(

I just tried it. Mine goes to 0.

The problem is related to the PM folders option. If you created new PM folders and had PMs in there they are stuck as I believe we partially removed that feature. Will get fixed when we upgrade :rofl:

Bump from the dead

Got an inbox full msg the other day so I went to clean out my PMs.
I only have 20-30 messages each in Inbox and Sent, but the count show 178 and 188.

Any fix?

I'm still having this problem, I count 18 in my inbox, 18 in my sent items yet it shows 140 in my inbox and 66 in my sent items on the left.
I never created any folders for PMs so I don't think that is what is going on for me

Yea, I bumped the limit up by 100. :rofl:

Don't feel too bad, I have ~10,000 PM's that I can't access at all. It's lost in the abyss somewhere.

So i think i have some Pm's that went rogue, i dont know what happened, the count on the left side says i have 200ish messages in the sent items, but i cleared out all except a few recent ones, i only have 4 messages in there, and its impacting my free space... anybody had this happen before? (also i have only 46 in my inbox but the count shows 81)

I have the same thing. It was something to do with archived pm's and blocked users who sent messages and their accounts were deleted later on. Mine shows I have like 20 pm's or something like that even when I'm at zero count.
