i dont know about that specific site, but secret shoppers in general are not bogus. But its not as easy as they make it out to be. lots of paper work.

Need more info -- I kinda have a feeling this may be a scam -- but I could be wrong.

It's not a scam, that's the company that sent people into Sport Chek and Guess? when I worked there. Completely legit but kind of a tedious job as you have to completely drill the salesperson for up to an hour about numerous product, and then not even buy anything.

I've done stuff thats kind of like this.. i've done market research at grocery stores. I just go in a write down prices of certain items etc. I don't think its considered secret shopper though.

safeway does it a lot. I actually worked with a guy who used to do it and he said it wasn't really worth it at all

My girlfriend did this for a few months. She secret shopped Safeway.
It was basically a load of shit if you ask me. They only payed for her travel if it was outside of a certain distance (and they never sent her out of that distance). She had paycheques of like $14/week (because how long can you spend grocery shopping/week.

They also MADE her buy $200+ of groceries in each shop that she did, which included something from EVERY department. They didnt reinburse for the groceries at all because they were considered "necessities".

After each shop she would have about 1 hr of filing a report online, as well as once and a while an hour long phone call to a supervisor to talk about "strategy"...

She quit and said it was the worst scam job she ever had.
