Hey guys, I've heard tons of great things about Screamin Paintworks over at McKnight, and its about time I get my front bumper repainted, but theres only one problem.

It's JDM.

Yeah.

From Japan.

And I'm just afraid that they won't work on my car because its a JDM car.

So I just wanted to know if Screamin Paintworks even works on JDM cars before I go and waste their time, and my time, by going in and asking them.

The car, a 1997 Toyota Chaser (JZX100), needs the front bumper sanded down, primed, and repainted in Toyota 057 Golden Pearl White (from a 1999 Lexus ES300).

Thanks in advance for all your helpful, non-bashing responses.

Yes they'll take you in no problem.

Yeah, or you could, you know... call Screamin. Unless JordanAndrew works there he can't tell if they'll take you or not.

I brought my JDM FC there a few years ago - no problems getting it in and they did excellent work.

JDM paint is different from regular paint. Better find out.

Japan paint is solvent based
Whereas paint in canada is water based, at least from what I heard

The body guy at country hills toyota managed to match 16 year old paint on my jdm itr perfectly, try him if the others don't do it

It's all water based now including the Japanese.

I had my 92' Aristo in with Screamin' Paintworks a number of years ago, matched the "JDM" paint perfectly.

It's a very nice example of a clean teg. I left the line late cause I was examining it.

Yes. It's an 'action cam' rather than a purpose built dash cam so you gotta get a bit creative to mount it due to the angle of the windshield.
