View Full Version : Where to get pants/shirt tailored?

My wedding is May 5, we fly out May 3. We finally got some clothes that actually fit me but the pants and shirt both need to be taken in.

Can anyone recommend a tailor that can make the alterations? Price is secondary to quality.

Thanks!

I'm sure most places would be able to handle something like this. Having said that I had a couple sport coats altered by Henery's tailoring and he did an excellent job. He is on the corner of Macleod and Heritige. They also have a location in Marda Loop that I think his wife takes care of.

Based on other threads here, it always comes down to Henry's or Giovanni.

Negative review for Henry's.

I took 2 Boss suits I got off the rack in the states that required minor tailoring. I paid $600 for the suits and Henry charged over $200 in hemming for 2 pants, take in the seat of one pant and narrow the waist in one jacket. I picked up the suits and they still require further tailoring which I will not get done at Henry's.The hem can be seen and is crooked and threads hanging from the hems.

I agreed to the price as per the good reviews here on Beyond but came away disappointed. Should have spent a few more dollars and went to Giovanni as attention to detail is not their forte.

I'm guessing you bought the tux? Don't tux rental places do that for you?
