Hi camera people!

I unfortunately hardly know anything about cameras, so hopefully you guys can help me out.

A relative recently purchased a DSLR and I wanted to get them some accessories as a gift, but cannot for the life of me remember the model. I have tried looking at pictures etc online but couldn't find it.

Here is what I remember:

-The body was a dark red colour (although this model obviously also came in black as well)

-The LCD display on the back was able to flip out and rotate

-It was just bought a couple months ago

-I *thought* it was a Canon camera, but maybe not... when I searched Canon models I couldn't find it

-I thought that the model had 4 numbers in the name; I don't think it said "5D" or "7D" or "T5" etc. This seems to be more of a Nikon naming structure but some Canon cameras also seem to use this as well?

I realize that this probably isn't much to go on, but I unfortunately don't know enough about the various features to be able to help differentiate between different camera models.

If anybody has any ideas as to what model this may be, I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks for reading :)

To be sure, ask them to send you a picture from their camera. Just make up a good excuse. If they don't use photoshop to PP, you can look at the exif tag and get the 100% accurate model #.

You need the jpg emailed to you btw. Facebook and most image host sites will strip EXIF.

Wow, thanks! I'm pretty sure that's the one! Definitely looks just like I remember.

Thanks guys, good idea. Didn't think of that. Easier said than done, but I'll see if I can figure out some way to get a picture from them with exif info to confirm.
