list of alberta car shows for 2014

Since I seem to be out of town for all the damn car shows, is like to find a site where there are all of the shows upcoming so I can try and attend as many as I can this year.

I'm sure it would actually be a useful post for a lot of people. Share it if you have it or know where to find it.

Search for "NW cruise calendar" - probably the best one out there.

North west cruise calendar (link (http://www.members.shaw.ca/calgarycc/)) - put together by some Calgary hot rod enthusiasts. Been around for years in paper form.

Some of the bigger shows include the River City Show and Shine in High River on September 28, 2014 - this event has probably become the premier show and shine in southern Alberta.

There's also the Foothills Street Rod Associations show and shine up in the Edmonton Trail and 40th Avenue NE area - usually runs last Sunday in July.

Another show and shine that is just in it's third year is the Central Memorial Show and Shine on the athletic fields at Central Memorial High School in Calgary running on Thursday, May 22nd (link (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-events/calgary/central-memorial-show-and-shine-car-show/590787829)) - tough day and time though.

Also, Quarry Park Show & Shine on Saturday, September 13, 2014 (link (http://quarryparkandpolish.com/)) and there's the annual illmotion meet in Max Bell's parking lot, August 17 this year (link (http://illmotion.com/)).

Deerfoot Mall already had their big show and shine on April 28.

As far as regular meets, besides Chinook and Grey Eagle there's the Calgary Bike Night that happens Thursday evenings at the A&W on 4th Street and 16th Avenue NW. I do also recall of a bunch of guys with European imports getting together regularly on Tuesday evenings in the Safeway parking lot near 34th Avenue and 22 Street SW. Also, there's the regular "Cruisin' the Dub" on Sundays at the A&W on Southland Drive and 24th Street SW. (1-5PM).

Also Cruisin' the Dub on Thursday's at the A&W at 130th Ave SE. At least it was that way the last two years.

Most likely in the NW Cruise Calendar - the problem with Three Hills is that's it's started to get a bad rap what with goof balls doing shit on public streets that they shouldn't be doing. I suppose some increased RCMP presence could help that though.

Some are missing - probably because they are unorganized or unsponsored including Chinook, Barlow Timmies, 16th Ave 7 4th St NW A&W.
