Hey everyone!

On August 23rd, we are planning a cruise from Calgary to the Oldman Dam PRA – Three Rivers Group site where Beyond is sponsoring a BBQ!

Staging will happen at the Home Depot parking lot for about 10:30am, and depart about 11:00am. I suggest everyone meets up and departs from this area of the parking lot.

Here is a suggested route for the cruise.

The cruise portion should take about 2 hours to get to the campground, which should be in plenty of time for the BBQ, which will officially kick off at 2:00pm.

There will be food and drinks at the event for everyone, but we are hoping to get some kind of headcount so we know what to expect and buy for beforehand.

The BBQ has no set end time, and people can come and go as they please. The roads in and out of the group camping area are "AMG / Lambo" friendly, so don't be afraid to bring out your nice rides! After you have stuffed your face, there are many nice roads to cruise on and places to explore in the area, heck, even take the highwood pass home...I did that last week, and it is a beautiful drive!

People on the cruise are free to spend the night at the site as well, just bring your camping gear!

If you want to come out, please RSVP in the thread here, and I will add you to the list! Please also indicate if you are going to have multiple people in your vehicle. Should be some Photogs out too taking some shots!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

For those without 1 in of clearance I recommend taking the Nanton turn (533). The Cowboy Trail is a very clean road with great views. They also just fished repairing the washout so lots of fresh pavement.

If I have your name down for Camping, it would be handy if you could PM me to confirm/deny your attendance.

The Saturday (23rd) practice at Fort Macleod is now a CSCC/SASC Solo2 points scoring event and the Sunday is now the practice so as to not clash with the Regional WCMA event at Red Deer on the 24th. Because I'm after seat time and not points, I'm only going to the practice on the 24th. Therefore I'd be willing to attend this cruise if others want to join.

I've only got the uncomfortable Miata, I should just save my body some abuse and ride with you

They are good rain tires, could be worse, you could be running RS-3s.

No, I have not got my exhaust in yet. Canada Post sucks and keeps delaying my shipment. It was supposed to be here on Tuesday the 19th, I'll be overjoyed if it is here before September... :banghead:

Thanks for the offer though. I'll take you up on it if I can't work something out with Joe-G who has also offered to help me. Beyond rocks!

They've actually been open for a month. They just held the opening today apparently.

On the bright side, the turnout was large from a purely physical standpoint of the vehicles. 1/3 of the cars that came on the cruise were larger than a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 :D
