BMW spyshot Autobahn

In Germany for work. Cruising the autobahn today and came across one of these. A 1M or M2? Quad exhaust is suspicious.

That's a 1M,

Not sure why it was in camo. Someone could have wrapped it for attention?

Doesn't have any characteristic 2 series features.

Definitely not. Way to much effort to put 1 series lights and body work on the car. There have been m2 mules spotted. The 2 is actually quite different dimensionally from the 1.

Only thought is that they are MAYBE testing the m2 engine in a 1 chassis. That would likely fit since they both use n55's.
