I saw that. Who the heck slams on the brakes like that at a trackday?!? Crazy near miss. They should all buy lotto tickets.

It's not a track day. There's always slow traffic at the ring. The BMW didn't follow proper etiquette and caused all that haha.

What would be the proper thing to do?

He didn't go all the way to the right to let faster cars pass

Considering it wasn't an actual track day, you can't put 100% of the blame on the BMW. Sure they probably should have moved to the right, but the Subaru guys could have slowed down to avoid* that whole thing.

* technically they did avoid it haha

Brake and go slow on the right or pass on the left. He started to pass on the left and inexplicably braked there blocking every Subaru behind him.

judging from that second video, it sounds like the black Subaru really needed a decent set of tires. There didn't seem to be a corner that he wasn't squealing around. :burnout:

Looked to me like he braked early for the caution flag that the other guys didn't see.

Just means he's driving at the tire's limits. Tire squeal is normal, even PSS's do it if you drive hard enough.

True, but he was losing ground on the corners to the blue Subi, and it didn't have any tire squeal. Unless its tires just weren't as audible.

The 'Ring is full of fucking retarded drivers that dont belong anywhere near a track.... The awesome, good, and poor drivers should all be on the track at different times to avoid near misses like what just happened.

On another note, wow Im surprised how well those Suburu's handle at the track, those guys were just bustin' it pretty good.... Look like quick cars to say the least. The driver of that blue Subbie really knew his shit.
