Currently working out in SE Sask. The sunrises/sets are pretty stunning and thousands upon thousands of birds are migrating which is really cool - lots of moose around too. Gonna have to bring my regular camera gear out instead of the Nikon V1 I keep in my truck.

Seoul holds a dear to my heart because I met so many cool people there.

Singapore is expensive if you make it so. If you hit hawker stalls, you can eat for $2-3 SGD. I also ate at Din Tai Fung (world-renowned dumpling franchise) for $25SGD for one.

Kuala Lumpur is where your dollar can go far.

Yeah, the F-22 moves a LOT of hot air. I have a shot at home of the Blue's diamond all with burners lit and they're still not making that much heat.

a suggestion but I would adjust the horizon a little bit, it feels a little tilted to the right

might head up to Lake Louise next week, havent been to the mountains since we hiked, hopefully the lake is still not frozen then

I got in touch with the hotel media manager via an Instagram connection, pretty cool he hooked me up!

I don't see the horizon tilt, I'm usually super careful about horizon level. I think the natural angle of the shoreline on the left make it look that way maybe? I could be wrong though.

Just the General Admission area on the grounds. Nellis they fly pretty close. Close enough that from the fence line the F-15 was too close when it was right in front of you with the 500mm. It's deceiving because the mountain range is directly behind the tower. Another couple thousand pictures to go through today.

I think it's because the shoreline on the right naturally angles down to curve back towards the hotel. The only piece of the shoreline that should be perfectly level is the little piece right in the middle at the base of the glacier. Or at least I think that's right.

Thanks, a fellow photographer and I were trying to figure it out, since the sun is actually right about at the nose of the planes and we both got a similar lighting affect. The best we could come up with was the light is reflecting off the runway.

They're super cool. I read somewhere that they still hold almost 50 world records for payload, speed, and time to climb (in everything else's defense, nothing has been built with an even remotely similar mission since the B-1B was built). That one was FULLY loaded. Even with all 4 afterburners going it climbed out at a pretty pedestrian pace...

All the fighters that took off North to South were doing full unrestricted climbs off the end of the runway, the F-35 took off south to north and did a fairly nice climb out, but nothing overly crazy.

$200 35mm PC-Nikkor and $30 AIS-Xpan adapter are much cheaper than the Xpan 30mm lens :rofl:
only downside is no rangefinder coupling and 52mm filter size but f/11 at 7ft or 10ft and almost everything is in focus anyway.

Ryan, the eyes in that first shot are absolutely stunning!! How much post is involved to achieve that? Any?

No spot adjustment in either, since his face is actually overexposed by about a stop. That one is just an S curve and an exposure bump, no contrast or clarity. Shot with the FE 55mm 1.8 which is fucking sharp and awesome.

Normally I do +30 contrast, +20 clarity, and +0.25 exposure for eyes.

BTW heads up, Stefan at TCS told me someone just unloaded their Leica collection at the used section, so they will have an M2, M3, M4-P and a couple of Leica lenses this coming week.
There's also a Bessa-L with CV 12mm & VF in there right now too :drool:
