I'm new to the game so I'm wondering what beyonders do for glasses. Looking at old threads online seems to be the best bang for my buck but I don't have the measurements and would rather avoid the hassle if I screw it up.

Any places in calgary where you would recommend?

Edit: Is it worth it to get the upgraded AR? Or is it just a gimmick?

Just go down to eclectic eye in the core mall. They have some gorgeous sales assistants...and some glasses....just saying.

What should I expect to spend? My benefits covers $400 so how much should I expect to be out of pocket?

I bought a pairof CF Oakleys 4-5 years ago and they haven't even scratched (frames that is) but they were very steep at 475. However you can consider that to be the top end aound for frames.

As for lenses basics / generic lenses for me are around 200 and high end lenses were around 400. Your decision as to which you are interested in. As a reference I am pretty blind with astigmatism etc.

Basically imo you do not have to significantly go over your benefit coverage (as little and nothing to 50 bucks) but if you want fancy stuff you can pay near a grand for stuff.
