So this is a pretty dead forum apparently, but I figured I'd post to see what you have and if maybe there can be a few meets/cruises etc...

Currently, I have a 2011 128i bone stock, except lowered. I also have a 2011 335 xDrive Special Edition (N55) which is bone stock(except for what the SE has that is upgraded)

Like most guys on here, the cars won't be kept in their stock form, any and all suggestions about mods are appreciated!

I look forward to meeting and learning from you BMW enthusiasts, I'm pretty new to them!

I have a 2008 M3 with the ESS VT2-625 supercharger.

If you don't have a spoiler for your 128i and want one, I can sell the one I pulled off my 135i. It's painted space grey.

I meet with a couple of other BMW enthusiasts maybe once or twice a month during the summer and go for a short cruise.

We are all douche bags.

I have a 2010 E90 335i xdrive with M sport. Last of the N54's but with all the LCI goodies.

I have KW V1 coils and a set of 19" Works XSA 02c's for the summer. I also have the Aplina B3 tcu tune on the auto tranny.

I drive an E82.
In the coming months I will have over hauled the suspension, wheels, added a proper LSD and a few cosmetic mods. I am currently beta testing for MHD tuning as well.

You can drive it at an event or two this year. I really want it to deliver a solid driving experience. Otherwise I will part it out next year and move on to something new. I think the key will be getting it on a proper square tire setup, I am going to attempt to stuff some 255/35/18s up front with some serious camber and stiff springs.

How are you finding tire wear on your current setup with the BRZ?

Tire wear has been minimal. Went though about half a set of 255/40/17 Z2s last year in 10 auto x events around 10000km of street driving. Even my winters with the last month of "hooning" around haven't worn much at all.

That is good news. I think I am going to need at least -2.5 to -3.0 degrees of camber to make my tires fit up front. Not sure if I am just going to go with a set of PSS or the new Star Specs... decisions.

Sweet, this thread kinda exploded. I can be a douche, I guess I'll fit right in haha as far as the spoiler for the 1er goes, it's possible, I honestly don't know what color code mine is, it's silver/greyish lol

I'm not on facebook so I won't be following the page, if/when there are meets, maybe post a quick thread stating time and date?

I have warranty on my 335 until 2017, so I can't do a whole lot to it yet, but I want to get koni/h&r for a decent drop that's not slammed, it's my daily driver so I have to have something comfortable.

Hope to meet with ya bunch of douche(s) sometime soon

Is this an M3? Considering the oem Rotors pair themselves go for ~550 USD online that doesn't even sound outrageous.

Pair for 335i is 180.

edit: 07 couldn't have been an M3 come to think of it.

JustinL

If that's for all 4, that's downright reasonable. You could do it cheaper with buying parts online and doing the work yourself, but at that price with our exchange rate, it would be worth paying them to do it.

That's a great price - fyi BMW Calgary "buys down" brake repairs to gain the business. That's why it's the same as Sheni's. I'd go stealership this one time......i feel sick saying that.

pretty well the same with me i was parked at tim hortons on 58th up the road from my work, came out to impact damage on rear bumper and a 6" scratch on my 1/4 panel, i was parked in far right spot nice and straight and inside for 5 mins tops and come out to that crap, wasn't a good way to start Monday morning at all, seems I find more shit on my e92/wifes e90 then I ever found on any of my jdms, or coal rolling asshole trucks and the door dings from careless people just adds to it,

JustinMCS
03-26-2015, 11:39 AM
Exactly why I now have a dashcam. I have caught some crazy things. I caught my neighbour dinging my door - she swung her backpack around her shoulder and her big ass stainless steel camping waterbottle flew out (full of water) and left a nice huge ding on the shoulder line. Lucky it was a clean dent and I was able to send them the bill. They argued it wasnt them but the video evidence caught the thunk and her face as she walked by. Thank god.

italianstylez
03-26-2015, 12:06 PM

I have one of the pittasoft blackvue dr500gw-hd with wifi. It's a good cam and since I put in a new car battery, it never dies and always records with a 32gb card in it. It lasts about 2 days or so recording clips and then starts to re record so I have time to capture the files I need before they are erased and event clips are never erased you have to do that manually

buy adjustables, our roads are terrible so being able to adjust is very well worth the extra money. Last setup I had was the KW clubsports. Very stiff but could be made streetable by adjusting the compression and rebound. The 'recommended' setting would jar your teeth out. What car is this for? And what do you use it for?

For a daily driver in Calgary, KW V1s will be nice. Progressive springs will give you a nice OEM ride and the stainless steel construction will hold up to the weather here.

I went through the same process last year and ended up with the Bilstein PSS10. You can retain stock ride height and have the adjustability to go from track to summer to winter with a twist of the damper knob. Adjusting the rear ride height with the springs installed is damn near impossible, so I went with a medium height and just left it there. It's definitely thumpier over imperfect pavement, but still very tollerable.

Here's my thread about a broken spring that turned into a rabbit hole.

Lol people still use facebook...

based on being street car my vote would be the pss10, excellent coilover for our roads/weather.

Kw v3 as a minimum for the adjustability.

I don't find the Facebook group that bad, but there are a lot of douches in e46s that think they're the shit. Lol.

Here's the thing, I have coilovers on my TL and I set them where I wanted them and never adjusted them from there, I really don't want to have to adjust them every spring/fall.

Thats why I was thinking Bilstein/H&R because I heard that it's a comfy ride and a good drop. If I can get some coilovers that I can adjust at the top, then that might be a good option, do the v3's do that?

KW V3s are junk for the money. The average person will not be adjusting their compression and rebound regularly. If all you want is the ability to raise and lower the car while retaining OEM like ride quality, save the money and get the V1s.

It's looking unlikely the M2 will come out with the S55.
Sounds like it will be a tuned up N55, though I'm still liking the car a lot.
