Looking for a sizeable cast iron griddle.... something that will fit over two burners.

Price not a concern - But want something really heavy duty.

Going to go check out Bass Pro, as they have some promising offerings.

Anywhere else I should be checking?

Ribtor maybe - haven't been there in a while and web site is kaput.

Campers Village - link (http://www.campers-village.com/23/Camp-Kitchen/?subcategory=Cast-Iron-Cookware). Bass Pro appears to have better pricing but who knows if quality is the same. Wholesale Sports is another outfitting place to check out as well - appear to have some of the same brands as Campers Village.

lowes has pretty good sized ones, i think they are like $30-$40 dollars. I saw them there last time i was at lowes.

canadian tire also has a similar one. Just 20" instead. for $40

Cabela's has good cast stuff:

I own a couple pieces, quite heavy duty, I am happy with them.

Do they have a store in Calgary?

Probably a good recommendation, but honestly I fear going in there.

The "New" Ribtor is interesting as hell if one has a few hours to kill, but trying to find a specific item is like finding a needle in a needlestack.

They don't but, easy to order I think. I doubt you'd be disappointed in the quality.

Found the cast iron skillet I bought at BassPro is top notch. I stopped using teflon because of it. If the griddle is the same brand I'd say get it. I'm going back for the dutch oven.

Awsome. Thank you. Was it the "lodge logic" brand?

Yea, I remember because they are quite proud to be made in USA! lol

Quality reminds me of the ones we used when I was a kid, great quality and very inexpensive.

Camp chef has all cast iron griddles and grills.

Wholesale sports carries them, and probably Bass Pro as well.

SIDE NOTE: Cabela's will open a Calgary location later this year at/near Deerfoot Mall.

I have a few Lodge cast iron pans, and they can't be beat for the price. I also like that they are made in the usa. If you can find a lodge griddle, it would probably be a great way to go. Bass Pro shops has a huge selection of cast iron pieces.

Made the pilgrimage, and was no disappointed.

What an awesome selection of Cast Iron, and found what I wanted.
