I think $80 is waay over the cost of the stupid wire. Is there any aftermarket ones availible from a shop or someone who would make me one in Calgary and area? I'm willing to pay

You mean aux in that connects to your stereo? ECS tuning?

Yes I'm looking for the factory connector to the back of the stereo. It's. a small 4x2 connector with 3 wires in it. I can't find one like it so I can make my own.

By E46, I'm assuming you're referring to the BMW designation. Is this what you're looking for? Mine's got more than 3 wires so I don't know what you're looking for exactly. If it is, I still got it.

Close but no cigar. I need a FEMALE connector like this but looking at this photo, I guess pin count doesn't matter
I ordered mine from eeuroparts last year, was like $35 iirc but with the exchange rate and shipping probably wouldn't be worth it unless you order a bunch of other stuff.

Is your labour, time and PITA running around town for the parts really worth far less than the $80 part from BMW?

You do have a point but I'd rather feel the quality of the cord for the price I'm getting. If I'm getting aftermarket I don't know if I'm getting something that will break about a month later. If that is the case then getting it returned and sent a new one can sometimes be apita
I prefer one on one rather than waiting for emails
