Hey guys.

I've ripped 9 movies to a 1TB portable drive, to test out the Media Player app on the XBOXONE, and only 1 movie works. The others either stutter, or just don't play at all. I'm currently running a test on the drive, to see if maybe it's dying, or do high bitrate MKV files ripped with MakeMKV not work properly? Do I have to compress them, with something like Handbrake, or is it another problem?

bad codecs, try a different player or different format rip.

Is your XBOXone software up to date? Move the file over to a thumb drive and see if the video file plays on the XBOXone.

I'll check, but I believe so.

Got Handbrake working, and set up a new profile, so I don't forget the settings.

I have the container as an MP4, and the video set at 0, for lossless.

The audio was a challenge, and took many attempts.
Settings are, 1 English (DTS), codec AC3, bitrate 640, and mixdown to 5.1.
It works, it sounds great, and looks fantastic! Now to fill up the 4TB HDD.:D
