Engine Oils

What is everyone using for motor oil up here? Anyone going against the grain and using oils that are not BMW LL-01 approved?

I use Castrol 10w60 as recommended by BMW. I know two guys locally that are running Mobil1 0w40 in place of it.

BMW just changed their recommended oil to a Shell product so it's a bit of a crap shoot right now.

Liquimoly / Motul / Fuchs / Total are all good options

Probably going to use Mobil1 0w40 next oil change, waiting for CT to have their sales again.

Where can I pick up a 5l jug of liqui-moly 5w-30 in Calgary? $60-70 on amazon but am guessing it'll be cheaper to buy locally?
