Probably... but we usually just hit up battle of the bridge and drink too much and miss everything else

Haha

Yes there is battle of bridges, mopars in the park, a jdm meet and a few other side events.

This year I'm just going to do the cruise for a bit (heavy clutches suck) and the show & shine. It's fun sitting on the streets at nights and watch the massive amount of vehicles cruising around.

Friend sent me a link saying they handed out 199 tickets this year compared to the 74 last year.

I looked at the report saying 199 tickets were handed out. To me it doesn't appear that all of those were SMW related?

Either way the police presence was increased, but I think they're typically a bit easy on people unless you're being an A-hole about it. I also heard they were giving tickets for antique plates? There may be some BS tickets, but for stunting there are just too many people (cars and spectators) to be screwing around IMO.

Lethbridge police seem to be much more strict this year in general. It seems they may also be bias towards imports because of the horrible rep they have in the city...

noticed more cops, but they were letting a LOT go... the barlow meet.... errr.... "the gentlemen" meet was just as rowdy as usual, but only saw like one guy pulled over... actually that and one other time was all i saw for people pulled over between friday night and saturday (day) i went home early this year though, we didnt even bother entering anything into any shows or what not... just didnt have our regular presence this year

ended up just bringing a bike down... just mashed the throttle in front of a cop too, no issues

(and that bike is pretty loud)

The gentlemen seemed to almost be better behaved than they normally are throughout the year? that one ticket was too funny on Friday. Saw the cop hiding there 10min before it happened and called the exact time it would take haha.

First year I checked out battle of the bridges, was rather small this year. No?

ercchry
07-14-2015, 02:30 PM
yeah battle was small for sure, was missing at least 10 cars from us though

we didnt get to the gentlemen till ~11pm (had to eat some 2 guys first  ), so the one i saw was a subbie; still not sure what he did, but the cop directed him to the far side of the lot and had him there for a while

NoPulp
07-14-2015, 03:32 PM
Ah, yeah the subie incident was odd... no idea what he did and why the cop was directing him through the lot.

I've seen lots of pictures of this truck on squarebody forums. I love all the stock trim and 2 tone paint. It's funny because most of the pictures are posted by the guy that owns the red truck beside it, and most of the comments that follow are asking for details on the blue truck. The red one is cool too though.
