Finally getting around to completing my AE86 project and have amassed all the pieces to rebuild the rear end, question is where should I take it to have the LSD installed. I have the pumpkin removed and ready to go along with all the bearings and seals etc and my new TRD 2-Way. I don't dare tackle this myself as I would be unable to set backlash etc. I spoke with the Gear shop on Blackfoot awhile back and they rolled their eyes when i told them it was for a Corolla and quoted me some ridiculous price as its seemed like an inconvenience to them. Where have others taken theirs? I also need my new axle bearings pressed on. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Quentin did our diff and has worked on old Toyotas for years. His hand was hurt recently so not sure if he is back working on stuff yet...

Thx for the reply. Contacted Quentin but with his hand hurt he's unavailable until mid Aug. He directed to someone else who I have contacted and now it looks like someone from DK will be able to assist. Cheers.

There doesn't seem to be too many people who can properly set up Toyota gears around here. There's a guy in Arizona that is a wiz at it and has a webpage full of his installs. It might be worth checking out if you've run out of options (although shipping would be deadly). Are you also replacing the R&P?

Anyways, here's his site: http://www.gearinstalls.com/

or these guys might help, they do Land Cruiser restorations and they should be able to properly set up your third member
